VISION - To enhance the lives of individuals with spinal cord injury and disease.

MISSION - The New Hampshire Chapter of the National Spinal Cord Injury Association's mission is to provide service to those individuals with spinal cord injury and disease, their families and the community by being a comprehensive provider of resource location, support, education, awareness, and advocacy; as well as to work cooperatively with all disability organizations and health facilities.

PEER VISITATION - Visiting individuals in hospitals who have a new spinal cord injury and their families to offer resources to move forward.

How:
NH NSCIA Peer Visitors, trained in a national program, are matched with newly injured individuals. These peers visit the individual and give them NH NSCIA’s New Injury Resource Binder to help make their way back to independence.

We also send out a monthly newsletter to all our members, which includes legislation updates, restaurant accessiblity ratings, housing options, etc.

COMMUNITY ADVOCACY - Advocate for elimination of barriers to independent living for persons who use wheelchairs for mobility
